Review

Delilah’s father is driving her and her daughter back to the apartment they share when she asks him to pull over and let her drive as he has been drinking. Rather than letting her drive he leaves her and her daughter standing on the sidewalk with no way to get home in a neighborhood much different than the affluent area she is accustomed to.

Lucio is one of the owners of the Hook and Hustle pub. His family may not have a lot financially but when it comes to love there is no shortage. When Delilah enters the pub, he is instantly attracted to her and she and her daughter bring all his protective alpha urges to the surface, so he offers her a place to stay and a job.

Lucio and Delilah are perfect together and the chemistry between them is hot. Delilah comes from wealth but was never shown love by her parents. She is embraced by Lucio and the Gallo clan and for the first time she feels like part of a family. Delilah raises deep feelings in Lucio and the way he cared for her daughter is enough to make you swoon. This is a great start to a new series and more Gallo’s can’t come soon enough.
