Review
This story begins where Heartless ends off and it starts with a bang. Aria is caught in the middle and all she wants is for both sides to be safe. Although it devastates her she makes a decision that has far reaching consequences and it may damage her relationship with Carter beyond repair.
Carter is left feeling betrayed and he finally acknowledges that she makes him vulnerable, but he is not prepared to stray from his original plan even though continuing with it could mean that the love that Aria has for him will evolve into a hate too strong to overcome.
I really like how the characters have changed as their stories are revealed. Aria has found an inner strength she didn’t know she had and Carter shows a side that we haven’t seen in the first two stories. The author once again leaves us with a cliff hanger that has us counting down the days until the final book in the series is released.
