The biggest story of her life is the one he wants to hide.

I’m homeless by choice.
I have no intention of returning to my former life after what I’ve done.
This—living among the filth and discarded remnants of others—is what I deserve.
As atonement for my sins, I give back; I help those who cannot help themselves. But it’s always under the guise of anonymity.
Newspaper headlines throughout the city are clamoring to discover my identity. Including the beautiful woman who manages to see through my “armor.”
She has the capability to put my entire life at risk.

About the Author:

RC Boldt is the wife of Mr. Boldt, a retired Navy Chief, mother of Little Miss Boldt, and former teacher of many students. She currently lives on the southeastern coast of North Carolina, enjoys long walks on the beach, running, reading, people watching, and singing karaoke. If you’re in the mood for some killer homemade mojitos, can’t recall the lyrics to a particular 80’s song, or just need to hang around a nonconformist who will do almost anything for a laugh, she’s your girl.

Review:

All Jude wants to do is make up for his past and if that means living on the streets to protect those who can’t protect themselves so be it. He is always the first to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, but no one really notices the homeless man except to look away.

Faith is a journalist who doesn’t really like what her job requires her to do but she needs the money she earns from it. If she is able to complete the story that she has been tasked with writing, it will mean a bonus that will allow her to use the funds in such a way that she will not feel like an outcast.

When Jude met Faith for the first time his selfless act allowed her to see the man not just the homeless person. They sense a kindred spirit in each other and see each other as they are not what they present to the world. Theirs wasn’t a meeting of chance it was fate but once all the secrets are revealed will it bring them closer or destroy them both?

This is an emotionally powerful story of two lost souls who are meant to heal each other and I think it may be my favorite story by this author to date.
