Justin is a member of the Charlotte Strikers hockey team. When he agreed to take his brother in-law’s place on the reality show Rich and Single he didn’t realize it would be the greatest regret of his life as now people remember him for his appearance on the show not the fact that he is a hockey player who won the Stanley Cup. As a result of the show he has been saddled with an engagement he doesn’t want for a year but when he dumps her publicly to avoid her vindictive side he decides to spend the summer on the ranch in Wyoming he purchased.

Meghan is a single mother to her eight year old daughter Ellie. She is a school teacher so while she is off for the summer her daughter is staying with her grandparents as she wants to fix up her ranch. She is not looking for love or a relationship so the last thing she needs is the sexy hockey player next door.

Justin starts helping Meghan repair her ranch and they become friends but then it evolves into lovers. They agree that it is only for the summer but sometimes fate has other plans.

I really enjoyed these two together. She sees the kind and caring man that he really is and likes the man he is under his celebrity persona and she has him thinking of family and happy ever afters which he has never felt before. They have great chemistry, humorous banter and Ellie is a charmer.
