Avery and Carter have been best friends since they were children. He has been in love with Avery for years but didn’t share his feelings as he didn’t want to ruin their friendship and now that she is engaged to a rival baseball player it may be too late.
When Avery’s dreams for the future are destroyed to turns to Carter, the one person who has always been there for her. As they spend time together she realizes the depths of his feelings for her and she is starting to see him as more than her best friend but is he her rebound or is he the man she was always meant to be with?
This is a heartwarming, friends to lovers, story. Carter has always known that Avery was the girl for him and although it took Avery a little longer to clue in once she did she was all in. I have enjoyed this series and I loved the epilogue.
