Can this be read as a standalone? 

The characters are introduced in other stories but this is definitely their story. So could be read without reading others in the series.

Review

Tracy has her hands full as she finds herself a single mother to her son since the death of her husband and the newly appointed Vice President. When one of her security detail is called away as a favor John agrees to step in and replace him.

John was a Captain of the Special Forces and is a mountain of a man who commands attention and respect wherever he goes. It was supposed to be a simple assignment of providing security during her speech but when the location is attacked the adventure begins.

She may present as strong and confident but her true nature is that of a sub and it calls to the Dom in John. The chemistry between them is electric but will they be able to escape with their lives.

These two are perfect for each other. John allows her a break from the demanding stressful job she finds herself in and she is the one person who makes him feel at peace. Full of heat, twists and suspense this is a story you won’t be able to put down.
