When Amelia got married she believed he was her Prince Charming and she was going to live a fairytale. She followed him wherever his career led him which led to a separation from her family and friends. She now finds herself divorced, trying to build a new life and recapture the woman that her husband tried to destroy.
Chandler may be a success on the ice but off the ice it’s been a different story. His brutal marriage and divorce is behind him and he is ready to start dating again so when he reconnects with his best friend’s sister Amelia he wants her to be the one.
Amelia and Chandler shared a kiss in college and although they never pursued it, they haven’t forgotten each other either. Chandler wants a second chance, but Amelia is hesitant to get involved with anyone and it will take all of Chandler’s powers of persuasion to convince Amelia to give him a chance.
I loved these two together. Chandler is so understanding and patient as he helps Amelia heal and Amelia’s strength and resilience shines through. This is the first book in a new series, and I can’t wait for the next installment.
