Killian’s father and Dallas’s mother had an affair that not only affected Des, the child they conceived, but destroyed the two families as well. Killian is a man on a mission and that mission is saving his half brother even if that means reconnecting with the family he never wanted to see again and kidnapping the one person who can help.

Dallas was devastated when the actions of her mother took away her brother and she would do anything for him.
She didn’t need to be forced to help and the fact that Killian thought she needed to only increased the tension between them. They are both damaged by the past and it is only when they get to know each other for who they are rather that who they think the other is that they can truly heal.

I enjoyed both these characters as Killian wants to protect those he loves despite the personal consequences and Dallas is his perfect match as her feisty independent personality isn’t afraid to stand up to Killian.
