Even I notice how weird that sounds coming from her mouth now that
our working relationship has turned into more of a tenuous friendship. “Enzo.”
“If I call you Enzo, can I pay my share?” She bats her eyes a few
times.
I twist my lips, thinking about it. The taxi driver huffs, annoyed
that we’re holding him up. “Sure.”
“Please, Enzo?” she says, stressing both words.
The sound of her voice saying my name like that spurs images of

Enzo may have proven himself successful at the company where he works however the same can’t be said about his ability to keep an assistant. He may look like the perfect dream but being able to work for this demanding and overbearing boss is not a job for everyone.

Annie is focused on her career and is determined to succeed even if that means working for the arrogant man whose reputation proceeds him. She has learnt from an early age that she can depend on no one but herself and she is not about to be deprived of a promotion because of this man.

As they begin working on a project, they both know that failure is not an option as both their careers depend on it. They are both mature adults who know what is at stake so they can deny the chemistry between them, right?

What a great start to a new series. I really enjoyed these two characters as there is so much more to them than first appears and watching them get to know each other is so much fun. Hot chemistry and witty banter combine into an office romance that features everything you could want.
