I knew the kind of guy Rhett was. I knew serious wasn’t his thing. I knew using the word love usually sent him running for the hills. I knew it, and I did it anyway.

That’s it. That one little change. I have to start somewhere. Skye’s right about that.

The one part of being single I have embraced is the diet. The single woman diet consists of basically any breakfast food for dinner, coffee, and alcohol. I’ve gotten so good at it, I no longer need a grocery cart when I shop. Quick tip, don’t get a cart at the grocery store, only buy what you can hold. It’s good for the budget and the waistline. Unfortunately, that rule doesn’t work so well at clothing stores.

When Ainsley’s parents passed away when she was 15 it was her brother Brody, his girlfriend Skye and his best friend Rhett that became her support system as she endured her teenage years and ventured into becoming an adult. She has now finished college and moved back home and is living in the same apartment building as Rhett who she has always secretly crushed on.

Rhett knows that Ainsley is off limits, but she should have come with a warning label. She is no longer the teenager that left to go to college and the feelings he has for her are from brotherly. The chemistry between them ignites but they both agree it is going to be casual and a secret as if her brother found out the waterfall effect could not only cost him his friendship but his business as well.

These two couldn’t be more different when it comes to love as Rhett doesn’t believe in it while Ainsley designs wedding dresses, so happy ever after is her dream. This story has all the feels as everything self-destructs around them, and if they are going to find their way back to each other there is a lot of pain and anguish that must be felt first.
