He’s gorgeous, charming, and irresistible – and he knows it.
We’re in competition for the same job and nothing will stand in my way.
Not his sparkling blue eyes, cocky smirk, or those dimples.
Too bad he didn’t get the message.
He says I’m a challenge he can’t resist.
And I’m playing with fire.
All I want is for him to burn for me.

When we’d finished with my last case, I asked the judge to be dismissed and turned on my heel to leave, only making it a few feet before Logan stopped me short with a hand at my elbow. My breath caught as I felt his mouth at the shell of my ear. It wasn’t uncommon for attorneys to have whispered conversations during and after a case to discuss details, but this felt more intimate. When he got close to me, all I could think about was him getting closer, touching me, kissing me. I’d never felt a stronger pull to someone
“May the best man win this afternoon.” My head shot up at his emphasis on the word man, in time to see him wink at me.
Pulling my arm from his grip, I said, “Oh, she will. Don’t you worry.” I could feel his eyes on my hips as I put an extra sway into my step, walking out. As much as he antagonized me, I swore I saw desire in his eyes.

Lea Coll worked as a trial attorney for over ten years. Now
she stays home with her three children, plotting stories while fetching snacks
and running them back and forth to activities. She enjoys the freedom of
writing romance after years of legal writing.
She grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania and currently
resides in Maryland with her family.
When Ashley finds herself competing with Logan for a job it is just one more reason to dislike him. She already views him as a man who has never had to work for anything in his life but this time she is determined to emerge the victor.
Logan is trying to prove himself and the last thing he needs is to be attracted to his co-worker and rival. As they start to really get to know each other and see beyond the appearances the chemistry between them ignites but if it comes down to a choice between their careers or each other what will they choose?
I really liked how the characters evolved as their story progressed and the witty banter they shared.
