Harper has returned to her hometown to work for the summer before she returns to San Francisco to start her career as a teacher. She isn’t looking forward to spending time with her step-brother who excelled at driving her crazy when they were in high school.

Eli is a sexy fireman who is adored by everyone in town except her. As she reconnects with Eli and their circle of friends she realizes that Eli has a surprise of his own but is it enough to make her stay?

This is my first story by this author and I really enjoyed it. Not only are Harper and Eli great characters but the secondary characters are a hoot as well. Hot chemistry, witty banter and two people who finally acknowledge their true feelings for each other.

As a hopeless romantic, her favorite stories are the ones that remind us all that while love is rarely perfect, it’s always worth chasing.
