Nina Astor gave me one red-hot night, then disappeared like a ghost.
Three months later, fate drops her in my lap.
The only problem?
She’s beyond off-limits, and we’re worlds apart.
I’m a city prosecutor with a bit of a dark side.
She’s the gilded daughter of a dynasty…and property of the scum of the earth.
And the man who owns her is the subject of my next investigation.
Nina thinks I’m on the right side of the law, but she’s forgotten one thing:
When it comes to her, I’m not a good man.
To claim her as my own, I might sell my soul to the devil himself.
True be told…
When it comes to this woman, maybe I already have.

Review
Matthew is sexy, suave and single. He will do anything for those he loves and is a natural protector which is reinforced by his previous service as a Marine and his current service as a Prosecutor. The one thing he hasn’t yet found is love for himself as every woman he has drawn it seems to be with another and that remains true with Nina.
Nina appears to be the perfect society wife who is living a privileged life, but appearances can be deceiving. Her loneliness leads her to a bar where she meets Matthew and she spends one steamy evening with her before reality comes crashing in and she leaves without turning back.
Life appears to have other plans for these star crossed lovers when fate brings them together once again and is there any other way for this to end but in disaster?
Filled with emotion, heat and twists this story takes you on quite a ride. Although she may not look like it Nina is quite a force while Matthew is not about to walk away from the woman who makes him feel regardless of the circumstances and now all we need is the next book.
Nicole French is a USA Today bestselling author of contemporary romance. She’s also a hopeless romantic, Springsteen fanatic, and total bookworm. When not writing, she is hanging out with her family, playing soccer with the rest of the thirty-plus crowd in Seattle, or going on dates with her husband. In her spare time, she likes to go running or practice the piano, but never seems to do either one of these things as much as she should.
