Banner was enjoying the high school experience until through no fault of his it became a situation he had to escape, which is why he finds himself relocating to a new school. He is adjusting to his new environment, is the quarterback of the football team and was drawn to Perry from the moment that he saw her.

Perry is not part of the popular crowd and has no desire to be included. She excels at athletics, she knows who she is and has a great support system. All she wants to do is get through school so attracting the attention of Perry was a mixed blessing as she really likes him but not the attention she draws because of it.

For high school students both Banner and Perry have a great understanding of who they are and what is really important. Their interactions are fun and flirty, but it is the way they support each other especially when Banner’s past refuses to stay where it belongs that makes them so perfect for each other.
