Jules was raised in an affluent lifestyle and could have anything she wanted financially but the same couldn’t be said emotionally. She has never felt accepted for who she is and has always felt that what she has been given comes with a huge cost until Mick raises feelings in her that have her questioning whether she lives the life she chooses or the life that others have chosen for her.

From their first meeting Mick knew that Jules was special and all he wants is to ensure her happiness. He is a carpenter who is not part of her social circle and believes she deserves more than he can give her, but he may just realize the only thing she needs is his love.

Mick was the perfect combination of sweet, sexy and strong while the evolution of Jules character as she became the woman she was destined to be was wonderful to see. This was a great addition to this series, and I am looking forward to more stories set in this locale.

Evan holds a powerful position within The Grid, and he is solely focused on helping others to make up for the mistake he made in a previous life. He keeps his personal interactions with women brief and thrives on order within their chaotic world which makes his business relationship with Lily more confrontational than friendly.

Lily works for the school and although she is attracted to Evan she also believes that he would never be interested in someone like her. Her romantic past has shown her that she doesn’t fit the ideal that men are looking for but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t enjoy annoying him at every chance she gets.

When Lily becomes a hostage in a dangerous situation it is Evan who comes to her rescue. As they spend time together it forces them to acknowledge their true feelings for each other but once the danger ends will their time together be nothing but a fling or the beginning of forever? This is the first story I have read by this author but I would be interested in reading more of her stories set in this world.
