As children Jude and Lila were best friends but when they became teenagers those feelings developed into love. They thought that their love was indestructible and could overcome anything that life threw at them and while it was able to survive his deployment, it crumpled under the weight of his return.

The things that Jude witnessed and the actions that he had to perform weigh heavily on his psyche and he is not the same man that everyone was expecting to return. What was supposed to be a beautiful reunion ended in devastation when he couldn’t handle his feelings and Lila felt powerless to help him and couldn’t stand by and watch his destruction but is this the end or only an intermission?

The emotions that this story draws out has you feeling the highs and lows right along with Jude and Lila as their characters are so deep and true. Theirs is an epic love that is able to withstand time and distance and emerge stronger even if at times it didn’t feel that way.
