As a teenager Cade fell in love and was planning a future with the girl who stole his heart only for it to be a lie and he hasn’t forgiven or forgotten the betrayal. He is a formidable man with his own sense of right or wrong so when she contacts him years later, he has concerns about getting embroiled not only with her but the past.Jolie finds herself in a dire situation with minimal options.

Approaching Cade after all these years should be the first gauge to how desperate she is but especially when she only knew the boy he was and not the man he has become.

In this story the only perspective we get is Cade’s so Jolie is a puzzle I would like to solve. The characters draw you in, the chemistry they share hasn’t diminished over time and the story takes you down a path filled with surprises and intrigue and leaves you wanting more of this couple.
