As we learn more about Poseidon’s childhood it gives us great clarity on why he has closed his heart off to everyone and everything except for the sea. He thought that Ashely would be nothing more than a means to an end however he is starting to believe she may just be the most valuable treasure of all.
Ashley is drawn to Poseidon in spite of herself so even though she can’t forget his brutal treatment of her she can’t forget his kindness and willingness to risk everything for her either. She believes that she needs to return to land to confirm if her feelings for him are due to circumstance or love.
The effect that Ashley has had on Poseidon when it comes to his interactions with others is not only unexpected and great to see while Ashley shows how strong and resilient she is as she tries to deal with a revelation that rocks her world. I am looking forward to their finale to see what the future holds for this captivating couple.
