Lily couldn’t be more unlike Jason, her larger than life father, as due to her past she prefers to remain on the sidelines and not draw attention she not only doesn’t want but doesn’t know how to deal with. She was expecting her final year of high school to be no different than the previous years but that was before she drew the attention of Kaiden.

Kaiden is very different from his father in the best of ways. When circumstances force him to change high school he needs to prove his worth both as a football player and a man if he wants Lily to be in his life. Between the fact that their fathers are rivals and that her father can either enhance or destroy his dreams for the future there are so many reasons they shouldn’t be together but their feelings for each other is the gamechanger that neither expected.

Kaiden has a difficult past but the way he supports Lily is enough to make you swoon. Lily has overcome her own challenges and she has emerged on the other side stronger and more resilient than she was before. Their journey isn’t easy but that only makes the outcome that much more worthwhile.
