Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward are excited to bring you the Cocky Hero Club: original works from various authors inspired by Keeland and Ward’s New York Times bestselling Cocky Bastard series.
There are exactly 2,716 miles between my home in Boston and my best friend in Las Vegas. When she calls me to let me know that she’s about to get married and needs me at her ceremony in five days, how could I refuse?
Just one problem. These winter storms have all the flights cancelled.
Luckily for me, I’m not the only person desperate to get to that wedding. Kirsten’s dad, whom I’ve never met, is waiting outside my apartment, willing to drive me across the country so neither of us miss the wedding.
By New York, I learn that Henry James is the smuggest British man I have ever met.
In Chicago, he makes me question every single life choice I’ve made.
It’s in Denver that we finally break the forbidden rules between us.
By the time we reach Vegas, my best friend may never want to speak to me again—because I’ve fallen head over heels for her dad.
Handsome Devil is an age gap/best friend’s dad romance inspired by British Bedmate and Cocky Bastard.
Sara Cate writes steamy contemporary romance with high stakes and big feels. She has a soft spot for forbidden romance, age gap, lots of angst, and boys so bad you can’t help but love them.
COCKY HERO CLUB
Henry is a successful surgeon with a sexy accent who is confident in his skills as a doctor and with women. He has been focused on ensuring that his daughter has everything she could want financially which doesn’t always allow him to be with her. When he finds out she is planning a quick wedding he is concerned and is a on road trip to Vegas to talk her out of it but he never expected that he would be bringing her best friend along with him.
Laila just wants her best friend to happy and if that means getting married then she will be there for her. Unable to get a flight she becomes Henry’s travelling companion and although it was uncomfortable when they first began it is only a matter of time before the chemistry between them ignites.
Henry and Laila are so different when it comes to their experience both in life and love. Looking at them you would think they were a mismatch, but they couldn’t be more perfect for each other as he gives her the stability she needs and she shows him all the fun he has been missing out on. I have never experienced this author’s writing before, but I will certainly be checking out her other stories.
