BLURB
A single dad, a model, and a comedian walk into a barโฆ Theyโre all Owen Brodie.
Itโs only funny if you arenโt the hilarious struggling comedian who has been hired to be his sonโs nanny for the stand-up tour.
ย
Dear Ms. Hogan,
Iโm emailing to offer you the job as my sonโs nanny because Sam had a temper tantrum when I told him I canโt hire you to come on my stand-up tour with us. โShe heckled me at a club a few years ago,โ I wanted to say. โShe is the sassy little turd who trolls me on Twitter,โ I could have told him. โSheโs an even bigger pain in the butt when weโre face-to-face,โ I thought to myself. What I would never tell him isโthings could get complicated. For reasons.
Let me know if you want the job.
With great reluctance,
Owen

Dear Mr. Brodie,
Thank you for your email. Please inform Sam that I like him very much and would love to be his nanny and accompany him on your terrible joke of a stand-up tour.
I can assure youโthings will not get complicated. For many, many reasons.
Primarily because Owen Brodie isnโt funny, and he can suck it.
Out of financial desperation and a fondness for your son,
Frankie

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Before writing steamy romantic comedy novels, Kayley Loring got a BFA in creative writing from a Canadian university and had a fifteen-year career as a screenwriter in Los Angeles (under a different name). She mostly wrote PG-13 family comedies that studios would pay her lots of money for and then never make into movies. In 2017 she decided to move to the Pacific Northwest and write about all the fun stuff that she wasn’t allowed to write about in those PG-13 scripts. Now sheโs breathing cleaner air and writing dirtier words. Itโs an adjustment sheโs happily getting used to.

Review
Frankie has a past with Owen, even if he doesnโt realize it, which has led to a war of words once during a show she attended, and the other times were online. When her attempts to become a comedian hasnโt been as successful as even though he irritates her she finds herself going on tour with him to look after his son who she adores.
Owen is a single father to his seven-year-old son Sam so even though the tour is a great opportunity for him professionally he isnโt about to leave his son behind. He is sure that are many other people that would be willing to look after his son but his son is drawn to Frankie and doesnโt seem to agree.
Fun and flirty, the banter between them will have you laughing out loud, and I enjoyed seeing them put aside their differences and finally acknowledge what their true feelings for each other are.
