Alaric thrives on dangerous thrills as that is the only thing that truly makes him feel and makes his career as a hitman a perfect fit. After his latest assignment he decides to visit the club Purgatory which is where he meets Monroe. He knew from his first glance that he had to have her even if that mean abducting her.
Monroe is aware of the activities that occur in Purgatory however she will do anything for her family, but bartending is where it ended until Alaric. She is conflicted as part of her is drawn to him and the other part knows she should stay away but when she goes from witness to captive everything she believes no longer applies.
Alaric and Monroe take us on an action-packed ride that is both suspenseful and steamy. It is dark and gritty as some of Alaric’s actions are questionable, but it will definitely keep you entertained from beginning to end.
