A guy who’s asking me to make the toughest choice ever.

He makes the only decision that he believes he can which is to end his relationship with Grant however they are both about to find out that even though they are separated physically they were never truly separated emotionally.

A.K. Evans is a contemporary romance author of over twenty published novels. While she enjoys writing a good romantic suspense novel, Andrea’s favorite books to write have been her extreme sports romances. That might have something to do with the fact that she, along with her husband and two sons, can’t get enough of extreme sports.
Before becoming a writer, Andrea did a brief stint in the insurance and financial services industry and managed her husband’s performance automotive business. That love of extreme sports? She used to drive race cars!
When Andrea isn’t writing, she can be found homeschooling her two sons, doing yoga, snowboarding, reading, or traveling with her family. She and her husband are currently taking road trips throughout the country to visit all 50 states with their boys.

Luke and Tasha’s suggestion ate at me all day. I had plenty of time to think on the journey for a client meeting, then on the way back. At the same time, I’d browsed the local Ealynn Sands estate agent sites for rental properties. There wasn’t much around unless I wanted a one-roomed studio near the marina for an extortionate price or to spend all my salary on a massive property I’d only use about three rooms in, which I wouldn’t be able to afford either. I would have to bite the bullet and call Sara.
But how would Ems react to me moving in? We hadn’t been in touch since I went to New York. But needs must. I waited until I got back to the station before calling Sara; signal on the last part of the journey was dodgy at the best of times and I didn’t need it cutting out when I was in the middle of this conversation.
Standing by the bus stop, I dialled and waited.
“Hello?” A female voice I thought I recognised answered.
“Hey, is that Sara?”
“Yes…” A note of suspicion crept into her voice, no doubt assuming I was a cold caller about to offer her compensation after an accident.
“It’s Mason. Mason Miles.”
A shriek down the line had me holding the phone away from my ear. “Oh. My. God. Mason!”
“Tasha gave me your number. She’s moving in with Luke and there’s a spare room at yours.” There seemed little point in beating around the bush.
“I never expected you to call me though. What will Ems say?” Sara laughed.
“No idea, haven’t spoken to her in a while.”
“Huh. And don’t I know it.” Sara paused. “It was a bit of a shitty thing to do, Mason.”
“What? Tell her my plans to go on a secondment to further my career, offer her the opportunity to come with me and have her walk out on me? It wasn’t all one-sided, you know.” I don’t know why I felt the need to defend myself, given that all of this had happened eons ago. But I needed a place to live and without Sara’s support, I wouldn’t get a roof over my head.
Sara let out a sigh. “Yeah, you’re right. Anyway, that’s all water under the bridge and I expect you’ve got some hot chick in New York, so there’s no need for Ems to stress.”
I didn’t answer and let her think that was the truth. “About this room?”
“Oh, yes. Look, Ems is working late tonight, why don’t you come around about six and see what you think.”
Suddenly, I had a vision of the future where Ems and I would be taking turns in working late in order to avoid each other. But I needed a place to stay and if that was how it would be, I’d have to deal with it.
Review
When Mason received a career opportunity that was too good to pass up, he accepted it immediately without taking into consideration how his girlfriend would feel. He has recently returned home after being away for a year and a half and fate has now conspired to make them roommates.
Ems was devastated when Mason put his career first and her a distant second. She has moved forward with her life but when he returns, she realizes the chemistry and connection between them is stronger than ever. Will this be their second chance, or will the choices of the past become the choices in the present as well?
There is no denying the feelings that Mason and Ems have for each other however when challenged only they can decide if they can find a compromise that will give them the future they both deserve.
About Julie Archer
Author of contemporary romance featuring rock stars, small towns, a healthy dose of angst, some steamy times and always a happy ever after!
When not writing, I can usually be found binge watching teen drama series on Netflix, or supporting Spurs from my armchair, and running around after my two feline children, Corey and Elsa.
From the moment I laid eyes on Cameron Wilder, I knew I had to have her.
I hired her to fix the image of my company.
Making her off limits.
I could ruin her.
Yet it doesn’t stop me.
I’m an asshole.
A bastard.
A tyrant.
She’s a saint.
A free spirit.
Innocent.
One touch captivated me.
One kiss wrecked me.
And every argument we have has me ready to crawl on my knees for her.
I feed her lies to keep her safe.
Because my secrets will destroy her.
Break her.
Kill her.
I’m a dangerous man.
To keep her would put her in peril.
But like the devil I am, I can’t let her go.
Tori Fox is the author of contemporary romance with a little bit of angst and a whole lot of sexy. Besides writing you can find her curled up on the couch with her dog reading a book, yelling at the TV during a hockey game or at a karaoke bar singing her heart out. No matter where she is there will always be a bottle of champagne near. Tori lives above the clouds with her husband in the Rocky Mountains.
That single word is what I’ve relied on now more than ever. Strength keeps me going. Strength makes me get up every day.
Even with the pain.
It was my dad’s job. He was the founder and CEO of the best tech company. But with his death, it’s now mine. And I’m damn good at it.
Until the threats start.
With Cat’s urging, I hire Jackson’s company to protect me and find the guy responsible. I didn’t expect my bodyguard to look that good. His body was a dream, his face was perfection, and his dark eyes drew me in. Too bad he carried a past that tarnished his present.
Because Luka Sarbent has the potential for love.
But when the threats start to get more perilous, his heart hardens.
I trust him to keep me safe from the dangers thrown at me, but I don’t trust him with my heart. Ironic really … because I’ve never felt more guarded …
