“Do you want me to?”

“No.”

His smirk calls me on my bullshit. “You don’t need his kind of trouble.”

“But I need yours?”

“Be careful with what you’re implying.”

There’s no diverting the roll I’m on. “Why?”

“Because you can’t take it back.”

“Maybe I don’t want to.”

Nolan straightens, shoving frigid distance between us. “We can’t cross this line.”

That’s the moment I snap. A haze flickers across my vision as I swivel to face him. “Am I fucking invisible?”

He recoils at my harsh tone. “No.”

“Then why have you been looking through me for six years?”

When Easton used alcohol to numb the pain of his childhood he found himself in rehab which has placed his hockey career in jeopardy. With the help and support of his brother and his teammates he has completed the program and is determined to remain sober and resume his life. With his brother about to become a father he finds himself with a tempting new roommate.

Claire has finished college and is trying to determine which direction she wants her career to take so living with Easton will not only give her the independence she craves but she has had feelings for him for as long as she can remember. As they spend time together the chemistry ignites but will their relationship help or hinder Easton’s recovery?

I really enjoyed the growth of both these characters as Easton realized who he should have in his life and who he shouldn’t, and they are so supportive of each other which only makes their relationship that much stronger. The narrators did a wonderful of bringing out all the emotions of the characters and their journey. 🎧The Flock
