There’s a thin line between being a hero and a villain, and I’m well aware I walk right down the middle of it. My reputation precedes me, even when I’m making a bad choice for the right reason. This is how I wind up in the back of a police car late one night. My infamous last name keeps my record clean, with a single caveat: community service at a ranch recently purchased by Jo Shelton. I think I’d rather go to jail than serve time with the woman who has made it clear she can’t stand me, even though we used to be friends. Despite the tense atmosphere and how she keeps me at arms’ length, I show up every day, ready to work. Quickly I learn a valuable lesson: while it’s difficult being around someone I don’t like, it’s far more difficult being around someone I find myself intensely attracted to, but cannot have.

Wyatt is a man who feels like an outsider within his own family and believes that nothing he does will please them. When he finds himself on the wrong side of the law he finds himself paying penance by volunteering at Jo’s ranch even if she doesn’t want him there.
Jo has overcome a difficult past and wants to use the ranch that she recently purchased to help others. She and Wyatt have a past, even if she is the only one who remembers it, but as she spends time with him she realizes that she never really knew him at all.
This is a heartwarming story about love, family and that the biggest gift you can give yourself or others is allowing them into your heart and your life completely.

Get ready for another season with the Vegas Aces featuring Jack Dalton in a new series coming this fall!
The first time I met pro football’s hottest quarterback, we ended up horizontal just before the most embarrassing moment of my life.
The second time, I unleashed all my pent-up anger on him.
The third time was when the owner of the Vegas Aces introduced him as the newly traded player I’d be coaching for the next year. No…I’m not a football coach. I’ve been hired as his full-time behavior coach.
Now I have to live with my one-night stand, his fiancée, and their newborn while I attempt to help him make better decisions. On my first day, I’m already having moral dilemmas as I watch him chug orange Gatorade in the kitchen wearing nothing more than a towel. If I truly guide him to better choices, I might just find myself out of a job.
And this is one job I can’t afford to lose.
TRADED is the first book in the VEGAS ACES: THE QUARTERBACK series. This series must be read in order.
When compromising pictures of me with the pro football quarterback I’m behavior coaching hit the press, we need damage control. I’m probably going to lose my job since his fiancée’s father—the man who hired me—discovered the pictures as I woke to a cloudy memory of the night before.
My questions surrounding Jack’s relationship with his future bride grow more pressing by the day…especially when his eyes tackle me with all that heat. As he saves my job and I continue to coach him toward better decisions, I find myself falling for him. Maybe my purpose here is to open
his eyes to all his options.
But if he leaves his new boss’s daughter, the consequences could mean the end of both our careers.
TACKLED is the second book in the VEGAS ACES: THE QUARTERBACK series. This series must be read in order.
When the family that Kate has been nannying for relocates not only does her job end but her living arrangements as well. She finds herself living with her best friend and her fiancé and having difficulties finding a job until the Vegas Aces hires her as a behavioral coach for one of their players.
Jack is the star quarterback who has recently been traded to the Aces however between the recent passing of his father, a fiancé he doesn’t want, an infant son he adores and his father-in-law to be the owner of the team he now finds himself playing for he has his hands full. Finding out that someone has been hired to keep him out of trouble was bad enough but finding out it is the woman he shared a steamy encounter with that didn’t end well makes it even worse.
In this series you get to see a much better version of the Jack that we knew in the Vegas Aces series and Kate’s sassy personality shines through and leaves us wanting to know what the future holds for both of these characters.
Review – Tackled
Jack is cautious about who he trusts but he is finding out that Kate appears to be one of the people that he can as he shares some secrets with her but not everything. He also proves that his feelings for her run beyond the professional in spectacular fashion.
The more that Kate gets to know about Jack the more she wants to know as she is learning there is a lot more to the confident quarterback than most people realize. She wants to help him get through this difficult time in his life but that decision may be taken out of her hands.
As the story progresses, I am enjoying seeing the growing physical and emotional connection between them as well as the depth of the characters as we learn more about them and their motivations.

Heartless Player: Westfall U #1
by R.C. Stephens is now live!
He might be a heartless player, but that won’t stop me from playing his game.
Rebel
Notorious heartbreaker and handsome-as-sin hockey captain, Wolfe Judd is the golden boy on campus. He could have any girl he wants… and he wants me.
He sees beyond my surface. The way his stormy blue eyes watch me… I feel beautiful for the first time since my accident. Little by little, he tears down my walls, exposing a passion that leaves me breathless and a vulnerability that could leave me shattered.
But all my scars aren’t on the outside, and the ones inside whisper that a guy like him will never fall for a damaged girl like me. Turns out Wolfe is just as broken as I am. He might be a heartless player, but that won’t stop me from playing his game.
Wolfe
Rebel thinks she’s invisible, but I see her… even when she doesn’t want me to. Even when I wish I could get her out of my mind, because falling for her is a complication I can’t afford.
My reputation proceeds me, but Rebel is a game changer. And if I get too close, I’m afraid she’ll see right through me. Behind the person who my family and teammates expect me to be, to the person who’s been keeping secrets.
With every scorching touch, every unapologetic kiss, the rules change, and the truth unravels around us. If only we could go on living this lie, then I wouldn’t risk losing the only girl I’ve ever loved.
Wolfe has a reputation for being a player on the ice as the captain of the hockey team and off the ice due to his interactions with women. He thought he had his future all planned out but when Rebel comes into his life there is something about her that he finds impossible to walk away from.
Rebel has a devastating past that left her not only with physical injuries but emotional ones as well. She prefers to stand on the sidelines rather than being the center of attention and she is both excited and uncomfortable with the attention that Wolfe is showing her as she believes that she won’t be able to maintain his attention.
Rebel is stronger and more resilient than even she knows and with the support of Wolfe she becomes the woman she is destined to be while she gives Wolfe the courage to live the life he wants rather than the life others want him to love. I enjoyed our first visit to Westfall U and I am looking forward to more stories centered around these characters and this locale.
From best-selling author Xavier Neal comes a brand-new, laugh-out-loud, paranormal romance you don’t want to miss…
I swear, one minute I’m dozing off during the night shift – don’t judge me – and the next I’m being told I’m Fate Mated to an ancient dragon.
An ancient dragon I couldn’t help but save when he woke me up out of the aforementioned slumber – again, don’t judge me.
Now this same ancient dragon – that I’m apparently destined to be with – is doing everything he can to win me over, because it’s up to me whether or not he’ll live the rest of his life in absolute agony or absolute bliss.
Oh, and let’s not forget the fact we’re being chased by elves, working with a grumpy Griffin, and have to rescue some poor kidnapped dragon before an evil corporation kills it.
Ugh.
Any chance this is all some crazy dream that I can’t wake up from?
No?
Well, can’t blame this human for asking.

Chasing Serenity, an all new steamy and emotional opposites attract stand-alone from New York Times bestselling author Kristen Ashley is available now!
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Kristen Ashley brings a new novel in her River Rain series…
From a very young age, Chloe Pierce was trained to look after the ones she loved.
And she was trained by the best.
But when the man who looked after her was no longer there, Chloe is cast adrift—just as the very foundation of her life crumbled to pieces.
Then she runs into tall, lanky, unpretentious Judge Oakley, her exact opposite. She shops. He hikes. She drinks pink ladies. He drinks beer. She’s a city girl. He’s a mountain guy.
Obviously, this means they have a blowout fight upon meeting. Their second encounter doesn’t go a lot better.
Judge is loving the challenge. Chloe is everything he doesn’t want in a woman, but he can’t stop finding ways to spend time with her. He knows she’s dealing with loss and change.
He just doesn’t know how deep that goes. Or how ingrained it is for Chloe to care for those who have a place in her heart, how hard it will be to trust anyone to look after her…
Considering the fact he’d brought in a coffee for his buddy, Rix, who managed the store, Judge was down on the floor where Rix’s office was, not on the top floor where his was, so he saw her when she walked into the shoe section.
He’d dated Meg.
And before Meg, there was Jess.
And before Jess, there was Kimberly.
They all had different color hair, Meg and Jess were tall, Kim was not.
But even so, Judge had a type.
He knew it.
And that woman who’d strolled up to the shoe displays?
She was his type.
Multiplied by a thousand.
Christ, she was beautiful.
And bad news.
He could tell that last by the outfit, including her ridiculous, high-heeled booties.
He’d worked at River Rain Outdoor stores for nine years—starting as a sales associate when he was still going to college and advancing to director of the Kids and Trails program.
In all that time, he didn’t think he’d ever seen a woman walk into any of their stores wearing shoes like hers.
And when he came down again a half an hour later to hit Rix’s office to make some copies because the copier in the corporate offices at the top level was busted, he noticed she was still there.
He also noticed he had further evidence she was bad news.
That evidence?
The sheer number of boxes of boots that she was trying on scattered around her.
She looked like she’d not set foot on a hiking trail in her life.
And she looked like she was there because she’d already trolled through all the boutiques around the square, but this hadn’t assuaged her shopping fix, because nothing really did.
Therefore, there was a possibility, after making a member of staff bring her fifteen pairs of shoes, she’d walk out not buying anything.
She’d do this not thinking a thing of it.
However, he noted some of the boots she was trying on were riding boots, and Judge could see that round ass of hers in the saddle on top of a horse.
Wearing a riding habit.
Even if she was trouble, and he had not the slightest interest (or he was telling himself that), he couldn’t keep his eyes off her.
Because he was a moron.
That said, she caught his gaze every time.
So he was looking.
But so was she.
His instincts proved true when he came down for the third time with more to copy, and he again walked through the shoe section to get to the office in the back. Doing this close to where she was seated, still trying on boots, because, yes, in the fifteen minutes between then and now, he had not stopped being a moron.
And again, she caught his gaze.
He had no clue why, but as her gorgeous hickory brown eyes hit his, he muttered, “Nice booties.”
Her back shot straight, and she demanded, “What did you just say?”

For years, my acting career consisted of bit parts in forgettable Hallmark movies along with a few embarrassing commercials for feminine hygiene products. But then the fates finally aligned, and I’d been given my big-budget break: the lead in an Edwardian era social drama set on a sprawling estate in Sussex. Everything was going great until I discovered my costar and current flame was banging his way through the upstairs and downstairs of the cast. That’s when this Southern girl channeled her inner Scarlet O’Hara by hurling a vase at him. Turns out the owner of said vase, the infuriating Earl Whittingham, did give a damn about the priceless heirloom. Just as I was imagining a life of servitude to pay him back, he gave me an unorthodox proposal.
Randall “Rand” Halsey, Earl Whittingham
Being a member of the British aristocracy isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. As a matter of fact, it can be a royal pain in the ass, especially when it comes to the required social season. The only thing worse than having to attend all the myriad of events from horse races to garden shows is attending them single. Throw in the likelihood of running into my ex-wife with her new boy-toy and it’s bloody insufferable. I’d resigned myself to keeping a stiff upper lip while drowning my sorrows in Laguvulin for the month when an opportunity fell into my lap. Actually, it crashed into the wall of my drawing room. As an actress, Charlie is used to playing a part, but she’ll need to turn an Oscar-worthy one to prove she’s in love with me.

Miles knew Nessa never had eyes for him. Only when someone new tries to hurt her, he knows he can’t stand back any longer. It’s time she finds out the man he is behind the glasses and beneath the shell he wrapped himself in.
But now he has to hope that once she sees the real him, she’ll stay. Because he doesn’t want to let go, even if someone else tries to make that choice for them both.
