There once was a princess who lived in a gilded cage. One day she found a way out of her castle and escaped.
Just kidding.
This is not a fairy tale. Just a story about a girl who changed the course of her life and found more than she could have ever hoped for as a result.
But let me start at the beginning. The part where I got away from my controlling family and had to figure out how to make it on my own. Because turns out the only skill I had was how to match my outfits.
Now I was left with no place to live, a new job I wasn’t qualified for and an unhealthy obsession with Mason Drake.
But the one thing I could never do was give in to the temptation that was Mason. Because I needed my job now more than ever. And he was my boss.
Note from the author: In order not to get kicked out of the good (okay goodish…. fine, sometimes good) girls club, I’d like to point out that this is a steamy romcom and my characters use bad language (sometimes) and like to get it on. There’s no cheating and all my books have a HEA.

Stella has managed to escape her oppressive family and is determined to be independent and live the life she wants. She can’t afford to lose her job at the garage even if that means trying to be nice to her irritable boss and denying the attraction between them.
Mason believes that Stella’s foray to regular life is only temporary and that she will return to the privileged life she was living. When he realizes it wasn’t as perfect as he believed he is determined to protect her, but misunderstandings may destroy everything.
Both Stella and Mason are included to act first and regret later which causes some turmoil until they realize that together they can overcome anyone who tries to stand in their way. I enjoyed the performance of the narrator as she brought the humor, emotion and romance of the story and characters to life.
