Release Date: November 2
I broke the cardinal rule and slept with my sister’s best friend.
Granted, I’d just found out that I was now a single father to a three-year-old little girl and was low on willpower.
It should also be noted that there’s been sexual tension between us for years. There’s no way it would be a surprise if anyone in our small town found out. That is if we were telling people, which we’re not.
We’re in agreement to keep our affair a secret, especially since neither one of us do relationships.
You’ve probably figured it out already, but things didn’t go as planned.
Molly works for Jed and his brother at the brewery while she finishes college. She has been attracted to him since high school but between him breaking her teenage heart and the fact that she is best friends with his sister she knows that they can only be friends. That worked well for years but once the chemistry between ignites dealing with their new relationship is proving to be more difficult than they imagined.
Jed is determined to remain a bachelor and refuses to allow any woman close. When he finds out he is now a single father to this three-year-old daughter Emilia he struggles as he isn’t certain how to be the father she needs him to be. It is further compounded by the fact that she isn’t the only woman he is confused about as he tries to maneuver his changing relationship with Molly.
Due to their pasts neither Molly nor Jed were looking for love or a relationship and learning about how their insecurities drove their behaviors made them relatable as individuals and as a couple. I listened to an audio copy of this story and thought the narrators were a perfect choice for the characters and brought out both the humor and heart of their story.
