Stacey hasn’t made the best choices when it comes to the men in her life and her latest choice doesn’t appear to be any better. She is rescued from the situation from Stanton but is cautious about letting him into her life. As they spend time together, she begins to believe that he is the exception to the rule until circumstances have her second guessing that thought.

Stanton is well aware of his charm when it comes to women, and he is determined to show Stacey that they belong together. His masterful personality finds itself at odds with her need to be self-reliant, so they experience some turmoil along the way. When life throws him a curveball his reaction was less than ideal and he now finds himself fighting for a second chance.

Both Stacey and Stanton have strong personalities which creates some complications as they try to overcome their pasts as well as the challenges in the present and learn a lot about themselves and each other along the way.
