She was gorgeous…and infuriating.
And he couldn’t stop thinking about her.
Jeremy was used to taking care of people. His brothers, his sister, his mom. Hell, he’d been the “man” of his family for so long that the need to care of others was burned onto his soul.
But Teresa didn’t want to be taken care of, and worse, she didn’t need it.
Until…she did. Until she needed him.
Jer knew that his chance with her wasn’t going to come more than once, so he had to be smart.
She needed to fall for him. Irrevocably.
Because he couldn’t end up a bad rebound.

Jeremy has always believed that it was his responsibility to ensure that he was there for every to help out everyone he cares about, and his needs have always come second. He has had feelings for Teresa for a few years however her independent side is at odds with his need to protect.
Teresa’s family has sheltered her for her entire life and as she pursues her dreams, she knows what she doesn’t want when it comes to a relationship. She believes that what she and Jeremy want for the future are too different, but he is about to show her how wrong she truly is.
Teresa was focused on her goals but learning about her past gives us a greater understanding of her feelings and actions and Jeremy was swoony as he pursued the woman who owned his heart. After the events that happened in this story I can’t wait for Asher’s story.
