All Samara has ever wanted is to work in law enforcement however her last job didn’t turn out the way she expected. Being hired as a detective by the Trigg’s Sheriff’s Department is the perfect opportunity however she soon realizes that she has ties to a series of cold cases that will put her in danger.

Michael is looking forward to his new position as Chief Deputy and he also happens to be Samara’s new boss. They have an immediate attraction to each other but between their families and the case that continues to become more threatening they have a few challenges to overcome.

Samara is determined and knows what she wants both when it comes to her career and her life while Michael is reserved about his feelings for Samara until she lets him know how she feels about him and then he isn’t about to let anyone, or anything stand in their way.
