Evie’s life is not turning out as she planned as not only does she find herself unemployed but she finds herself without a home as well. With minimal options she agrees to work for her friend’s brother in a small-town medical clinic until she can re-establish her and return to the city. Nothing turns out as she expected as her new boss happens to be the same man that she holds responsible for her current predicament and that is only the beginning.
Liam is a doctor who may have feelings for Evie but knows that nothing can come of it. He has been hurt by love in the past when he chose the wrong woman and doesn’t want to feel that pain again but keeping his distance is proving to be easier said than done.
