Etienne found himself in prison for protecting the one person he cared the most about. An early release has given him a second chance so he relocates himself and his family construction business to Florida. One of his jobs is renovating a vet clinic for Mattie however he is baffled to understand what has made her so angry with him.

Mattie is a woman who has had to fight for everything she has achieved as her family only cares about what they can get from her and very few people can relate to her. She is determined to dislike him, but he appreciates her for the special woman she is.

When it comes to Mattie she is vocal about her thoughts and feelings which only adds to her appeal which Etienne is both protective and understanding. The banter between them is witty and the chemistry is intense as they find their perfect match in each other.
