Emmett is focused on football and his family however when difficulties with one of his classes could jeopardize his ability to play he is assigned a tutor. Due to a misunderstanding their first meeting did not go well but as they spend time together a friendship develops so he suggests an arrangement that will give them both what they want.

Lucy is focused on her education and not the social aspects of college. She believes she knows who he is before they even meet however as they spend time together she beings to see a different side of him. His offer to help her takes a turn and now she is conflicted as to what and who she really wants.
