Sutton is still trying to heal from her last relationship so the one thing she does know is that she isn’t about to let another baseball player into her life and especially not her heart. When she meets her brother’s roommate, who also happens to be the new pitcher for her father’s baseball team, they don’t get off to a great start but she suggests an arrangement that will allow both of them to fulfill her dreams.

Jensen is recovering from a surgery that could have ended his dreams to play professionally however although he may be physically healed but the emotional aftereffects are proving more difficult to overcome. He needs to focus on his goal however he soon realizes that Sutton is not only improving his game but his life as well.

The relationship between Sutton and Jensen transformed from adversaries to friends to each other’s everything. What made them so perfect was how they were there for each other through all the personal and professional challenges they were facing and emerged stronger as individuals and as a couple.
