Brooke has forged a successful career writing fantasy novels however she is having difficulty with her next book and the deadline is fast approaching. Under pressure she sends the romantic story starring Chase, the man she not only has feelings for but who is also her editor, by mistake. She now finds herself going on an adventure with him so that she can work and they can edit her story as well.

Although the book Chase received wasn’t the book he was expecting he believes it could be a bestseller even if he isn’t aware that Brooke wrote the story with him in mind. The roadtrip was supposed to be a way to ensure the success of the book but it is also about to become a journey of self discovery both when it comes to themselves and each other.

The banter between them is humorous and the characters draw you in between Brooke’s unique personality and Chase is both sweet and swoony. I enjoyed seeing them realize they are destined to be more than friends even if they had an obstacle to overcome to get there.
