Due to her past Alaska has learnt the hard way the only one she can count on is herself. She doesn’t allow many people close and works two jobs, but she never expected those worlds to clash. While at the bar where she works, she realizes one of the patrons is the same man who is a repeat customer on the adult phone line where she works and that is when the fun really begins.
Zuko is a dangerous and powerful man that others come to when then need a situation handled. Despite the fact that he is drawn to the woman he has been speaking to on the phone there is something about Alaska that calls to him. He is determined to claim her and isn’t above a little subterfuge to ensure it happens.
Alaska doesn’t back down from anyone or anything which only makes Zuko want her more. She challenges him in every aspect of his life while he is determined to protect her whether she wants it or not and that is what makes them exactly what the other needs in their lives.
