Jude endured a devastating past until he found a home within the Hawke family. The only problem is what he went through has had far reaching aftereffects which he doesn’t share with anyone as he worries it would jeopardize their relationship. This is further compounded by the feelings he has for his best friend’s older sister who is off limits for multiple reasons.

Angeline has feelings for Jude as well but isn’t about to give into temptation until she believes that he can give her insight with what is happening with her sister and his best friend. Spending time together only makes keeping an emotional distance between them more difficult especially when the danger rises.

Getting to know what Jude and Angeline have been through and how it drives their actions is enlightening. They are both dealing with so much and seeing them open up to each other was everything you could want and more.
