Auden has been focused on creating and expanding her hotel empire and her personal life has taken a back burner because of that. She meets Hutch when their plan is delayed due to inclement weather, and they spend a steamy evening together never expecting to see each other again however fate had other ideas.

Hutch is a veteran hockey player who has been recently traded to Seattle in the expansion draft. He has two goals which are to win the Stanley Cup and to become the team captain but for that to happen he needs to remain focused and not be distracted by any woman but especially Auden. He never expected to see her again let alone to find out that a relationship between them is off limits despite the fact that they can’t stay away from each other.

Neither Auden nor Hutch were looking for a relationship but sometimes the best things happen when you least expect it and they realize what truly matters. I really enjoyed the camaraderie between the members of the team, and I am looking forward to more stories centered around the Serpents.
