When Claudia faces a crossroads in her life, she decides to spend some time in Kelly Lakes and the friends she has made there while she decides where she goes from her. When she is stopped for speeding there is no denying her attraction for him so when fate starts throwing them together she finds herself pretending they are together to appease others in town.

After his divorce Jude finds himself in his hometown to be there for his father. He has no interest in love or a relationship but there is something about Claudia that makes her irresistible. Since she isn’t planning on staying there’s no harm in a little fun however things don’t always turn out the way you plan.

Jude has been hurt in the past which has made him cautious, but he soon realizes that when it comes to Claudia there is no subterfuge. She has him feeling emotions that he never thought he would experience again as they bring out the best in each other.
