Blurb:
Let me tell the story of how I fell in love with a woman who had no idea that we were even dating. The ridiculousness started when she stole my beer, and trust me, my grumpy self doesn’t normally share. But somehow, Avery Wilson is the exception to every one of my many rules.
Unfortunately, I’m not hers.
Not only is she the daughter of the Rev’s coach who hates me, she’s also sworn off dating for the year.
Little does she know we’ve been doing just that.
Sure, she says I’m her friend when we watch romcoms or spend holidays together, but I’m just biding my time until the year is up.
With her father against me, and a line of men interested in dating her, once she finds out my true intentions, will we survive the fall out?

Avery hasn’t made the best choices when it comes to her romantic past which has left her cautious. She didn’t believe she was ready for another relationship and that is only reinforced when she meets Christian. Their steamy time together has her deciding that she needs to be man free for a year once she finds out that he also happens to be a player on the team her dad coaches.
Christian is the rookie pitcher for the Boston Revs. Even though their time together was brief the feelings he has for her are unlike anything he has felt before, so he isn’t deterred by her attempts to distance herself from him. Instead, he is willing to be friends and allow her to set the pace and show her that he can be the man she needs.
Christian and Avery were exactly who the other needed in their lives as he allowed her to trust in love again while she makes him want to be a better man. Not only are Christian and Avery captivating characters but the secondary characters only make this story better.
