Savannah left town a decade earlier with no explanation or further contact with her best friend Hayes. She has now returned to settle her grandfather’s estate however it will be more difficult than she thought when it requires her to be married. Needing a husband, she is conflicted about what to do especially once Hayes offers to do the deed as there was a reason she left years earlier.
Hayes isn’t sure what happened with Savannah as he feels like she abandoned him and she feels wronged by him as well. Seeing each other again will force them to face not only the past but the feelings between them that neither has acknowledged especially when they find themselves sharing live as a married couple.
Despite the time and emotional and physical distance between them Savannah and Hayes have always belonged together even if they allowed outside forces to come between them. She fits back in his life she has always been there and the same goes for the other characters in this series who play such an important part in each others lives.
