Noelle needs to distance herself and what she has just been through, so she moves to NY to stay in her grandmother’s apartment while she travels. She hasn’t let what happened define her as she always sees the good side of everything and everyone and she is determined to celebrate the holidays to the max even if her cantankerous neighbor doesn’t agree.
Jacob enjoys the peace and routine of his life, and he wants to keep it that way. He isn’t pleased with the noise and decorations that are coming from his neighbor’s apartment and is determined to put an end to it. He has closed himself off to a relationship or love however the more time he spends with Noelle the more he can’t imagine a future without her.
The story finds a perfect balance between humor, fun and emotions as neither Noelle nor Jacob were looking for love but sometimes the best things in life happen when you least expect it. The performance of the narrators was everything you could want as not only do we get a deeper insight into the characters and their motivations you can also feel what they are feeling as the events unfold.
