Ainsley’s life is complicated, and it doesn’t leave her with the time or energy for anything else beyond being there for her family emotionally and financially. She is determined to carry the loan alone but when Coulton walks into her pub and her life not only does he come to her rescue, but he isn’t about to let her just walk away.
The feelings that Coulton has for Ainsley are unexpected but powerful. What he views as their beginning she views as a casual connection and now he is going to show her that she will never be alone again.
I enjoyed seeing Coulton break through Ainsley’s walls and show her through his actions that he only wants to be there for her when it comes to whatever life throws at them and as long as they have each other they can overcome anything.
