Brody is not only dealing with the loss of his mother but the impact that it had on his family as well.  He now finds himself responsible for the family ranch as his sister has distanced herself physically and his father emotionally.  The latest curveball is that to retain control of the family business he must be married and with no prospects in sight who better than his employee and his sister’s best friend Paisley.
Paisley couldn’t be more different from Brody as she always sees the positive while he sees the negative.  She understands his cantankerous attitude, but she isn’t about to just take what he is dishing out without a fight especially when that includes becoming his wife.
The banter between them is entertaining and Brody has certainly met his match in Paisely as she challenges him at every turn and shows him that there is so much more to life than the way he is living it if he will only open his heart to her and the possibilities.
