Briar has plans for the future and they don’t include falling for a hockey player. What was supposed to be some fun in the sun turns out to be so much more when she realizes that she is pregnant. Now with her future at risk she is conflicted between her determination to be self-reliant and allowing Aaron to be there for her.
Aaron is popular in part because of his skills on the ice but also because of the man he is. He is drawn to Briar from their first meeting so when they find out she is pregnant rather than it being a deterrent it only reinforces the feelings that he has for her.
I enjoyed the evolution of the characters as they faced challenges together with a combination of humor and emotion. They are also surrounded by a great group of friends who are always there when the need arises.
