The Bodyguard Situation
Lyra Parish
Publication date: May 19th 2025
Being a bodyguard for my billionaire cousins comes with many perks. One of my favorites is rescuing gorgeous, sassy-mouthed damsels in distress…
There are a few problems with that: Harper Alexander isn’t a damsel or distressed. Oh, and I can’t forget to mention that she doesn’t want to be rescued.
Too bad she doesn’t have a choice.
Right now, I don’t give a flying you-know-what that she escaped the city with her brand-new fiancĆ© and plans to marry him next week…I will find her. I may have to throw her over my shoulder, kicking and screaming, but she’s coming with me. She has no idea how much danger she’s in.
Unfortunately for her, I’m the only one who can save her. But I have a feeling, she might be the one who saves me.
The Bodyguard Situation is an action-packed, grumpy/sunshine, forced-proximity, bodyguard rom-com with suspense elements. It includes tons of witty banter, touch her and eek vibes, with lots o’ spicy tension. It can be read as a stand-alone, but for the complete Billionaire Situation Series experience, please start with The Wife Situation. Happily Ever After is always included!

Harper didnāt understand why everyone that she loved didnāt see her fiancĆ© for the man she believed him to be. As a result, her decision to support him and their relationship has created a distance between them and everyone else. It is only when they are alone that she realizes there is a lot about him she doesnāt know and isnāt sure how to extricate herself from the escalating situation until Brody comes to her rescue.
Due to his past Brody thought he had closed himself off from love until he comes to Harperās rescue. Now he is conflicted as they are both dealing with healing from their last relationships while finding themselves on the run for their lives. Let the complications begin!
The combination of humor and intrigue was a perfect balance as well as the pacing of the relationship between Harper and Brody as they did have some turmoil to overcome. The characters draw you in and the cast of secondary characters only make this story better.
