When Tommy’s father sends him to Ireland to work on a horse farm he felt like he was being disciplined for not being serious about the family’s ranch. After he meets Fiona, the owner’s daughter, he realizes that he wants a future with her, but her father is determined that she will marry the son of a fellow landowner not for love but so that they can merge their holdings through their children.
Fiona has dreams for the future and her uncle is helping them achieve them even thought it goes against what her father wants for her. When she meets Tommy she is prepared to stand up to her father so she can be with him, but her father is willing to do whatever is necessary to keep them apart.
After seeing Tommy and Fiona in the present I enjoyed going back to the past and seeing how their enduring love began and how they weren’t about to let anyone stand in their way. Kit Swann portrayed both the strength of Fiona and her conflict while Sean Masters brings out the swoon factor of Tommy.
