Having seen the hurt that a failed marriage can cause Maggie is not looking for love or a relationship. She has enjoyed a friendship and physical relationship with Jack in the past and now that she is working for him it only seems natural for that to continue. What wasn’t part of the plan was to find out she was pregnant and now they must decide where they go from here.
Jack is single and intends to stay that way especially since his career as a polo player is causing him to relocate. The time he spent with Maggie was supposed to fun and casual but finding out she is pregnant changes everything and it will cause him to not only reassess being a father but his feelings for Maggie as well.
This is a story of two people who have a lot in common from their views on relationships to their careers which allows them to understand what the other is feeling. What began as a way to co-parent turned into a love that neither thought they wanted.
