After all the loss that Julian has endured he has closed himself off to everyone as his lifestyle puts anyone he cares about at risk. Or at least that was what he was doing until he finds out that Genesis, the woman who was the best friend of his sister, is being forced into a marriage for alliance reasons by her father and he isn’t about to let that happen.
Even though Genesis is estranged from Julian that hasn’t diminished the feelings she has always had for him so if it is a choice between giving him a baby or the marriage she was being forced into it was no choice at all.
Genesis is a character you can’t help but being drawn to as she hasn’t allowed her lifestyle to change her despite the challenges she has faced. She helps Julian become a better version of himself as he is dangerous and powerful but when it comes to Genesis it changes to protective and possessive and I enjoyed seeing them finally give in to their feelings for each other.
