After what Gretchen experienced at the hands of the man in her last relationship she is totally unprepared to let another man into her life. She has come to town looking to reclaim the woman she has lost and create a new life for herself but Theo, her swoony boss, is determined that she isn’t going to do it alone.
From the first time Theo saw Gretchen he knew that she special, but he also knows that she has been hurt. He is patient and understanding but he is also determined in his pursuit of her as he shows her that she not only belongs in Gracemont but with him as well and he will protect her from whatever comes her way.
I enjoyed seeing the evolution of Gretchen’s character as despite everything she has been through she shows how strong she is while Theo understands that she needs to find her own way but is going to be there every step of the way. Great chemistry and a touching romance.
